Introduction
Susu Games ("we," "our," or "us") operates Vocabloom Saga (the "App") for iOS and Android. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you use the App, how it is used, who it is shared with, and the choices you have. By downloading or using Vocabloom Saga, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
At a glance
- No account is needed. We never ask for your name, email address, or other contact details.
- Your game progress is stored on your device, not on our servers.
- We use Google services (Firebase and AdMob) for analytics, crash reports, game settings, and ads.
- Purchases are handled by Apple or Google. We never see your payment details.
- You choose whether ads may be personalized, and you can change that choice at any time.
Information We Collect
1. Information stored on your device
- Gameplay data: level progress, star ratings, coins, boosters, lives, discovered words, collected flowers, daily streaks, and your settings (sound, music, haptics, reminder time).
- Anonymous player ID: a random identifier the App creates the first time you open it. It is not linked to your name, email address, or device identifiers. It keeps your save data consistent and assigns you to game-balance experiments.
We do not run our own servers, so this data stays on your device and is not sent to us. Uninstalling the App deletes it.
Progress backups: if you tap "Back up progress" in the Profile screen, the App creates a backup code that contains your progress data and your anonymous player ID, then opens your device's share sheet. The code goes only where you choose to send it. Your Remove Ads purchase is not included in backups. You can get it back at any time with "Restore purchases."
2. Information collected automatically by third-party services
- Usage and analytics data (Google Analytics for Firebase): in-game events such as sessions, levels started, won, or lost, booster use, shop visits, purchases, ad views (including the estimated revenue from an ad), and app performance timings. It also records a few properties: whether you have made a purchase, whether you own Remove Ads, the date you installed the App, a gameplay segment, and which experiment groups you are in. Firebase also collects an app instance ID, your device model, operating system and App version, your language, and an approximate location (country or region) derived from your IP address.
- Crash and diagnostic data (Firebase Crashlytics): crash logs, error stack traces, recent in-app log messages, device model, operating system and App version, and a Crashlytics installation ID.
- Game configuration (Firebase Remote Config): the App downloads game settings and experiment settings from Google's servers. This uses a Firebase installation ID.
- Advertising data (Google AdMob): your device's advertising identifier (on iOS, only if you allow tracking), IP address, device and App information, and how you interact with ads.
3. Purchase information
In-app purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We never receive your payment card details, name, or billing address. The store gives the App a transaction ID and receipt on your device so the App can deliver the item and restore Remove Ads if you reinstall.
4. Information you send us
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message.
We do not collect your contacts, photos, precise location, or microphone input.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information described above to:
- Run the App, save your progress, and deliver items you buy
- Restore your Remove Ads purchase
- Show ads, including optional rewarded ads and ads between levels
- Understand how the game is played and tune its difficulty and in-game economy
- Run experiments (A/B tests) that compare different versions of game features
- Find and fix crashes and other technical issues
- Send the reminders and notifications you have allowed
- Answer your questions when you contact us
- Comply with legal obligations
Advertising
- Rewarded ads are always optional. You choose to watch one to earn an in-game reward, such as an extra life.
- Interstitial ads may appear between levels. Buying Remove Ads permanently turns off interstitial ads. Rewarded ads remain available if you want them.
- Ads in the App are limited to content suitable for general audiences.
- Consent (EEA, UK, and Switzerland): before any ad is shown, Google's consent form asks whether ads may be personalized and how your data may be used. You can change your answer at any time under Profile → Privacy choices.
- iOS tracking: the App asks for permission before it accesses your device's advertising identifier (IDFA). If you decline, the identifier is not used and the ads you see are less personalized.
- Android: you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings.
Your consent choices also apply to analytics. The App passes them to Google Analytics, which honors them. Before you make a choice, analytics data is collected, but advertising data and ad personalization are turned off.
Notifications
With your permission, the App can show a daily reminder at a time you choose, and a notification when your lives have refilled. These notifications are scheduled on your device. No push token or other notification data is sent to us. You can turn the daily reminder off in the Profile screen, or turn off all notifications in your device settings.
Third-Party Services
The following third parties process data on our behalf or as independent providers, under their own privacy policies:
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties.
Legal Bases for Processing (EEA and UK)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Performance of a contract: to provide the App and deliver your purchases.
- Consent: for personalized advertising and for storing or accessing information on your device for advertising. You can withdraw consent at any time under Profile → Privacy choices.
- Legitimate interests: to understand how the App is used, improve the game, and find and fix crashes.
- Legal obligation: where we must process data to comply with the law.
International Data Transfers
Google may process data in the United States and other countries outside your own. Where required, these transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
Data Retention
- On-device data stays on your device until you uninstall the App.
- Analytics data is deleted automatically by Google after the retention period we have set, which is no longer than 14 months.
- Crash reports are kept by Firebase Crashlytics for up to 90 days.
- Advertising data is kept by Google under its own retention policies.
- Emails you send us are kept for as long as needed to resolve your inquiry.
Children's Privacy
Vocabloom Saga is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly. We recommend that a parent or guardian supervise any in-app purchases and use the purchase-approval and screen-time settings on the device.
Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
We do not have user accounts, and we never receive your name or contact details. This means we usually cannot link the data held by our service providers to you. If you contact us, we will help as far as we can identify data related to you. You can also use these controls at any time:
- Ad and analytics consent: Profile → Privacy choices (shown where required)
- iOS tracking: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking
- Android advertising ID: Settings → Google → Ads (or Settings → Privacy → Ads on some devices)
- Notifications: the daily reminder switch in the Profile screen, or your device's notification settings
- On-device data: uninstall the App
- Purchases: your Apple ID or Google account settings
U.S. state privacy rights: we do not sell personal information for money. Some U.S. state laws (for example, California's) may treat personalized advertising through Google AdMob as "sharing" personal information or as "targeted advertising." You can opt out with the advertising controls listed above. We will not treat you differently for using your privacy rights.
Security
We take reasonable technical measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
